SACIDS-ACE, MPhils/ PhD students induction workshop

The three days induction workshop which involved MPhil/PhD students and their supervisor’s was conducted from   18th - 20th October 2017 at the Sokoine University of Agriculture’s National Carbon Monitoring Centre, in Morogoro. Students was motivated about the SACIDS – ACE programme and feel equipped to begin their MPhil/PhD journey.

The overall aim of the workshop was to equip the students with the knowledge, resources and contacts that they need to make a good start to their MPhil/PhD programme which is supported by SACIDS – ACE. Another aim was to build their relationships with each other and with faculty and to ensure they are aligned with the aims and values of SACIDS – ACE.

The day one of SACIDS-ACE MPhil/PhD workshop was officiated by Dr. W.Kimaro, Head of Department of Anatomy and Pathology.



SACIDS_ACE  MPhils/ PhD induction workshop day 2 was officially opened by Hon. Dr. Leonard Akwilapo (permanent Secretary_ Ministry of Education, Science and Technology), along with Prof. Raphael  Chibunda (VC ), Prof.Maulilio Kipanyula (Ag_DVC Academic and principal of College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences), Prof. Ngaga (DVC -A&F), Dr. Leonard Mboera (NIMR General director), Prof Matee (MUHAS), Prof. Esron Karimuribo (Director of Postgraduate), Prof. Mark Rweyemamu ( SACIDS_ACE director), Prof. Gerald Misinzo ( SACIDS ACE leader, Head, Microbiology Dept) and others.
