CAPACITY BUILDING IN WILDLIFE DISEASE SURVEILLANCE AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE

College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS) in Collaboration with Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) conducted a tailor-made short course for TANAPA employee on Wildlife Disease Surveillance and Emergency Response from 18th to 23rd March, 2019.  The training aimed to enhance competences among TANAPA employees in routine surveillance and responses to disease outbreaks in wild animal populations and consequently reduce the social, human health, economic and ecological impacts of wildlife disease outbreaks.

 Future course will be tailored for Game Officers and Tour Guides focusing mainly on Wildlife Disease surveillance and Public Health
