SUA-Foundation Science for Development PARTNERSHIP

Project stakeholders

A partnership has been established between Sokoine University of Agriculture and Foundation Science for Development Warsaw, Poland aiming at “Improving the quality of youth education in veterinary sciences in Tanzania through improvement of teaching conditions at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

The initiative is funded by the Polish Aid 2019 Programme, co-financed by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Poland, through “Foundation Science for Development (FSD) and College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

In implementation of the same, the teaching Laboratory (MLB6) at the College has been rehabilitated by fixing marble table tops, aluminium windows, suspended ceiling, white boards, Projector screen, refurbishing the floor and installation of two air-conditioners.

The CVMBS is optimistic to benefit abundantly through the programme. The College acknowledges the main actors of the programme from Poland; Prof. Ptach Wieslaw, Prof. Maciej Klockiewicz, Dr Karolina Barszcz and Dr Marek Kulka, but also Dr Jahash Nzalawahe, the programme coordinator from the College.
